The Humboldt County Peak Oil Action Group is inviting the community to a program called, "The Health of Traditional Diets vs. the Ravages of Modern Foods," to be held Tuesday, May 6, from 8 to 9 p.m. in the Senior Room of the Arcata Community Center, 321 Community Park Way.
Stephanie Alexandre, co-owner of the Alexandre Family Eco-Dairy and chapter leader in the local Weston A. Price Foundation will argue Price's assertion that animal fats and cholesterol are not villains but vital factors in the diet.
The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism.
